Born in Japan several centuries ago, kobido is a brisk, precise and rhythmic facial massage. It is often called “the natural Japanese facelift”: it does not replace cosmetic medicine, but it tones the features and revives your glow.
What a session is like
After gentle cleansing, the therapist moves through a wide range of techniques for almost an hour: stroking, kneading, pressure on points of the face and light tapping with the fingertips. The rhythm is surprising at first, then you let yourself go.
How it feels
- A relaxed face and a jaw that lets go.
- Brighter skin by the end of the session.
- A feeling of lightness that often lasts several days.
How often?
One session does you good at any time. For a longer-lasting effect, we recommend three to five sessions one to two weeks apart, then one session per season. Kobido is not recommended with active rosacea or after a recent cosmetic procedure: talk to your therapist.
